Terms and Conditions.

1. Introduction

These Terms and Conditions govern the provision of peripatetic music lessons delivered by Blossoms Performing Arts. By enrolling a student in these lessons, parents/guardians agree to comply with these Terms and Conditions. These terms are designed to ensure a smooth, effective, and enjoyable learning experience for all parties.

2. Enrollment

Eligibility: Students must be enrolled with Blossoms Performing Arts to be eligible for peripatetic music lessons.

Placement: Allocation of lesson times and tutors is at the discretion of Blossoms Performing Arts and is subject to tutor availability and scheduling constraints.

3. Fees and Payment

Tuition Fees: Lesson fees are charged on a half-termly basis. Fees will be communicated at the start of the academic year or upon enrolment.

Payment Schedule: All fees must be paid in full by the specified deadline, typically prior to the start of each half term.

Late Payment: Late payments may incur additional administration charge of £10. A polite reminder will be sent approximately 3 days after the payment is due. The late payment fee will be applied if at day 5, the fee has still not been paid. Blossoms Performing Arts reserves the right to suspend or withdraw lessons where payment is not received.

Refunds: Refunds will only be issued in exceptional circumstances, such as prolonged illness (supported by a medical certificate), or where lessons are cancelled by Blossoms Performing Arts due to unforeseen circumstances.

4. Lesson Scheduling

In-School Lessons: Lessons will take place during school hours. Timings will be arranged by the tutor and communicated in advance.

Out-of-School Lessons: Lessons may also be delivered outside of school hours at a tutor’s home or a suitable alternative venue (e.g. church or village hall).

Missed Lessons:

  • Student Absence: Lessons missed due to student absence (including illness) are not refundable and will not be rescheduled.

  • School Activities: Where a lesson is missed due to a school-organised activity, Blossoms Performing Arts will endeavour to reschedule the lesson where reasonably possible, given sufficient notice by parents.

  • Tutor Absence: If a tutor is unavailable, the lesson will be rescheduled or credited to a future term.

5. Student Responsibilities

Practice: Students are expected to practise regularly and complete any work set by their tutor.

Instruments: Students must take appropriate care of their instrument. Any damage to school-owned instruments may result in repair or replacement costs being charged.

Conduct: Students are expected to behave respectfully during lessons. Persistent disruptive behaviour may result in termination of lessons without refund.

6. Parental Responsibilities

Support: Parents/guardians are encouraged to support their child’s musical progress through regular practice and attendance.

Communication: Any concerns or queries should be communicated promptly to the company director, Laura Mortimore (07515805812).

School Trips and Events: Parents/guardians are responsible for notifying Blossoms Performing Arts of any school trips, events, or other commitments that may affect scheduled lessons. A minimum of 7 days’ notice is required. Where sufficient notice is not provided, the lesson will be charged and may not be rescheduled.

Withdrawal: A minimum of one-half term’s written notice is required to withdraw a student from lessons. Failure to provide adequate notice may result in charges for the following term.

7. Responsibilities of Blossoms Performing Arts

Tutors: Qualified and experienced tutors will be provided to deliver lessons.

Safeguarding and Safety: Blossoms Performing Arts ensures that all tutors have completed appropriate safeguarding and Prevent training prior to delivering lessons. A safe and suitable learning environment will be maintained.

Progress Feedback: Tutors will provide regular feedback on student progress, typically recorded in a music diary supplied by the parent/guardian.

8. Termination of Lessons

By Blossoms Performing Arts: Lessons may be terminated in cases of persistent disruptive behaviour, non-payment of fees, or repeated non-attendance.

By the Parent/Guardian: Lessons may be terminated by providing the required notice as outlined in Section 6.

9. Liability

Personal Injury: Blossoms Performing Arts accepts liability for injury only where it is caused by proven negligence.

Loss or Damage: Blossoms Performing Arts is not responsible for loss or damage to personal belongings, including instruments, brought to lessons.

10. Data Protection
